Morgue Facilities
The morgue facility located in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa has proper lighting, gloves, facial masks, plastic aprons and stainless steel buckets. The facility is the best ever for said hospital in Fiji. Everyone can afford to utilize the service.
Each deceased are kept in a body bag and we have standby dressers if family members cannot and do not know how to dress bodies.
Families now make appointments as to when they will dress the deceased so there is no rush and congestion that is currently seen at other hospitals.
What we wanted to achieve is a state of the art morgue and autopsy room, clean and tidy, and deceased given the final journey with respect and dignity. This we have achieved and acknowledged by Government of Fiji and Ministry of Health.
